ella's first day of kindergarten didn't seem to phase her one bit. we've been talking it up all summer and she walked into her class this morning as if she had been going all year. she was so confident and ready to go...i actually think it helped her mama to keep in the tears!
on the way to school she was talking about how when she is a bigger girl, she will get to ride the bus. i had to break the news to her that if we continue to send her to this school, that there are no buses. she proceeded to talk about college and how she would go and that sometimes boys go to college too. and then she said, "well, mama, what does college mean?" so funny how she talked about the subject before like she totally knew what it was. i brought her back to present day since i wasn't quite ready to talk about her college plans yet! let's get through the first day of kindergarten first!!
when we picked her up, we asked a million questions and she gave us simple answers. overall, it sounded like a great first day. she was already asking if she was going to school tomorrow....because she wanted to go back. too bad she'll have to wait til friday!
doesn't she look adorable in her uniform? today was "best dress day" and all the girls wore this and the little boys had ties on....so cute!!

She looks adorable. Madison was like that on her first day of school. Very confident.....that is good. You would rather it be this than crying. She looks so cute.
